Renault India has officially launched the 2025 Kiger Facelift with a refreshed design, more safety features, and additional tech. Priced from ₹6.29 lakh to ₹11.29 lakh (ex-showroom), the updated subcompact SUV is available in four trims: Authentic, Evolution, Techno, and Emotion.
Design Changes
The facelift introduces a redesigned glossy black front grille with Renault’s updated logo, a new sculpted bumper with a silver skid plate, and dual-tone 16-inch alloy wheels. LED projector headlamps with fog lamps are now standard on higher variants, giving the Kiger a more aggressive and upmarket appearance. The side profile and rear remain largely unchanged, but styling tweaks add a sportier touch.
Interior & Comfort Enhancements
Inside the cabin, Renault has introduced a new dual-tone theme—Noir Black and Cool Grey—along with ventilated leatherette seats, soft-touch dashboard elements, and improved noise insulation. Sound-deadening materials under the carpet and dashboard help reduce road and engine noise for a more refined experience.
New Features List
The Kiger Facelift is now better equipped with features such as:
- 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
- Ambient lighting
- Multi-view camera system
- Wireless phone charger
- Auto headlamps and rain-sensing wipers
- PM2.5 air filter
- Rear AC vents
- Cooled glove box
- Drive modes (Eco, Normal, Sport)
Safety Upgrades
Renault has significantly improved the safety package. All variants now come standard with:
- 6 airbags
- Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
- Traction Control System (TCS)
- Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
- Rear parking camera with sensors
- Roof rails with 50 kg load-bearing capacity
These additions aim to elevate the Kiger to segment standards, competing directly with rivals like the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Brezza, and Kia Sonet.
Engine and Transmission Options
Renault continues to offer the Kiger with two engine options:
- 1.0-litre naturally aspirated petrol (72 PS)
- 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine (100 PS, 160 Nm torque)
Transmission options include a 5-speed manual, AMT, and CVT. A new dealer-installed CNG kit is now available with a 3-year warranty, offering better fuel economy and lower running costs for city commuters.
Driving Dynamics and User Feedback
Early test drives indicate that the Kiger remains a fun and practical urban SUV. The stiffer suspension setup, improved NVH levels, and fine-tuned steering offer a more engaging and comfortable drive. It’s being praised for retaining its core strengths while addressing earlier concerns with safety and comfort.
