The internet’s favorite philanthropist is setting the record straight.
MrBeast — aka Jimmy Donaldson — has clapped back at wild rumors claiming Kai Cenat backed out of the recent TeamWater charity stream because Adin Ross was involved. The speculation blew up on X (formerly Twitter) after a viral post alleged drama behind the scenes, suggesting Kai didn’t want to associate with Adin’s controversial reputation.
But MrBeast isn’t having it.
“That’s just cap. Kai was never confirmed and it had nothing to do with Adin,” MrBeast tweeted, shutting the whole narrative down in just one sentence.
The TeamWater vs. TeamFire charity event raised over $12 million for clean water initiatives, and featured appearances from streamers like Pokimane, iShowSpeed, Valkyrae, and yes — Adin Ross, whose inclusion sparked mixed reactions online.
Kai’s absence didn’t go unnoticed by fans, and once the rumor mill started churning, it didn’t take long before people began pointing fingers and crafting entire storylines.
“Kai didn’t want to be on a team with Adin, and honestly I don’t blame him,” one tweet with over 20k likes read.
Still, Kai himself hasn’t commented on the situation, and fans are now calling on him to either clear the air or just ignore the noise. Meanwhile, Adin Ross appeared to subtly respond during a Kick stream, saying, “Some people just don’t f**k with real ones.”
Yikes.
Despite the drama, the event was a massive success for charity. But the internet never sleeps, and when two of the biggest names in streaming are involved — even silence becomes a headline.
Stay tuned. This story’s probably not done yet.
