The Telangana School Education Department has announced the September 2025 holiday schedule for all schools and junior colleges across the state. Students will enjoy an extended festive break this year, as the government has declared holidays for both Eid-e-Milad and Dasara.
Eid-e-Milad Holiday
On September 5, 2025 (Friday), schools will remain closed to mark Eid-e-Milad (Milad-un-Nabi), celebrated across the state.
Dasara Festival Break
The much-awaited Dasara vacation will begin on September 21 and continue till October 3, 2025. Schools will reopen on October 4, 2025, after a 13-day holiday stretch.
Total Holidays in September
With both Eid-e-Milad and the Dasara break, students in Telangana will get 14 holidays in September 2025. Parents and schools are advised to plan academic and extracurricular activities accordingly.
