pm kisan samman As the festive season draws near, millions of farmers across India are eagerly watching for the release of the 21st instalment under the PM KISAN scheme, which provides ₹6,000 a year in three equal instalments of ₹2,000 each to eligible land-holding farmer families.
According to recent reports, the government has begun the process of disbursement for some states, and there is expectation that the funds may be credited before Diwali 2025, in late October. In some states like Punjab, Haryana, and Himachal Pradesh, the 21st instalment has already been released in late September, ahead of the national roll-out, as relief for farmers affected by floods and landslides.
What farmers must check
Farmers are urged to ensure their e-KYC is complete, their Aadhaar is linked to their bank account, and their land-holding records are accurate, as missing documentation could postpone the transfer. Those who received land ownership after February 1, 2019, may not be eligible for benefits under the scheme for five years, as per current criteria.
Outlook
While no official date has been announced yet, experts anticipate that the instalment could reach beneficiary accounts around October 20, 2025, if all verifications proceed smoothly. Farmers are advised to check their status on the official PM KISAN portal to confirm eligibility and payment details.
