delhi pollution Delhi’s air quality has deteriorated sharply once again, edging dangerously close to the ‘severe’ category. On Friday, the Air Quality Index (AQI) crossed the 400-mark at over 15 monitoring stations, triggering health concerns across the National Capital Region (NCR).

Experts attribute the worsening pollution to low wind speed, stubble burning in neighboring states, and vehicular emissions. The haze blanketing Delhi has led to reduced visibility and an increase in respiratory complaints.

Authorities have advised residents to limit outdoor activities, wear N95 masks, and use air purifiers indoors. The Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) Stage 3 restrictions remain in force, with construction work halted and truck entry curbed.
