Super Typhoon Uwan has triggered large-scale evacuations and airport closures as it approaches landfall in the western Pacific region.
More than 403 families have been relocated from high-risk zones due to flooding and strong winds. The storm’s eye is expected to move toward Luzon’s northern tip, bringing torrential rain and dangerous sea conditions.
Authorities have issued red alerts in several provinces, warning fishermen and travelers to stay away from coastal areas. Disaster management teams remain on standby to handle potential landslides and flash floods.
