Australia created history by becoming the first men’s cricket team to win all four major ICC tournaments—the ODI World Cup, T20 World Cup, Champions Trophy, and World Test Championship (WTC). The final piece of the puzzle was achieved in June 2023, when they defeated India in the WTC Final at The Oval.

The Aussies dominated the five-day match with a strong all-round performance. Travis Head scored a match-winning century, while Pat Cummins and Scott Boland led the bowling attack. With this win, Australia added the WTC Mace to their already impressive collection of global silverware.

This historic achievement highlights the team’s unmatched consistency and adaptability across formats. No other men’s side in cricket history has managed this clean sweep of ICC titles. India came close but have never won the WTC or Champions Trophy after 2013.

Australia’s dominance isn’t just about one golden generation—it’s the result of a cricketing culture that has adapted to every era, from the Test days of Steve Waugh to the white-ball reign of Aaron Finch. This landmark makes them not only statistically successful but arguably the most complete cricket team ever assembled.
