The Milwaukee Brewers are officially the hottest team in baseball.
With Wednesday night’s thrilling 6–4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals, the Brewers extended their winning streak to 13 games, breaking the franchise’s single-season record for consecutive victories. And once again, it came in dramatic fashion.
Trailing 4–2 in the seventh, Milwaukee staged a trademark late-inning rally. A clutch two-run double by rookie standout Jackson Chourio tied the game, followed by a go-ahead RBI single from Christian Yelich, sending the home crowd at American Family Field into a frenzy.
“There’s just something special going on with this team right now,” said manager Pat Murphy postgame. “They never think they’re out of it.”
The win not only gave the Brewers sole possession of the best record in MLB, but also highlighted the depth and resilience of a squad firing on all cylinders. With elite pitching, timely hitting, and an unshakable bullpen, the Brew Crew looks every bit like a World Series contender.
