Season 2 of Peacemaker will do more than continue the story—it’s setting up connections across the DC Universe as part of James Gunn’s long-term plan.
The most notable addition is Frank Grillo as Rick Flag Sr., a figure rumored to have major implications for upcoming DCU projects like Creature Commandos and The Authority. Also confirmed are cameos by characters from the Superman film, including Isabela Merced’s Hawkgirl, Nathan Fillion’s Green Lantern (Guy Gardner), and Sean Gunn as Maxwell Lord.
James Gunn has hinted that a mysterious multiverse portal—the “Quantum Unfolding Chamber”—could become a major plot device not just for Peacemaker but for the wider DCU as well.
Unlike Marvel’s post-credit teases, Gunn promises that Peacemaker’s crossovers are “organic, meaningful, and character-driven.” So fans shouldn’t expect cameos just for the sake of buzz—they’ll be woven into the story in a way that drives the narrative forward.
