India Celebrates 79th Independence Day with Pride and Power: PM Modi Unveils Vision for ‘Naya Bharat’

New Delhi, August 15, 2025 – The nation celebrated its 79th Independence Day with unparalleled patriotism and grandeur. From the historic ramparts of the Red Fort, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation, marking the day with key announcements, emotional tributes, and a bold roadmap for India’s future.

This year’s theme, ‘Naya Bharat’, reflects the government’s vision of a developed India by 2047. PM Modi launched a major youth initiative, focused on skilling and employment, announced GST reforms, and hailed the success of ‘Operation Sindoor’, a military response to the Pahalgam terror attack.

The celebration featured Mi-17 helicopters showering flower petals, patriotic performances, and massive public participation across India. Political leaders from every corner, including CMs, Union Ministers, and opposition leaders, hoisted the Tricolour and extended heartfelt wishes.

PM Modi’s address touched upon national security, water rights, disaster response, and unity, vowing to protect every citizen’s rights while pushing India forward on the global stage.
