Manchester United are set to unveil a fresh-look attack as they host Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday to kick off their 2025/26 Premier League campaign. New signings Benjamin Sesko, Matheus Cunha, and Bryan Mbeumo are all poised to make their competitive debuts for the Red Devils in this high-stakes season opener.
Manager Ruben Amorim confirmed that both Andre Onana (hamstring) and Joshua Zirkzee (match fitness) have returned to full training and are available for selection. However, Noussair Mazraoui (thigh) and Lisandro Martinez (knee) remain unavailable, although Mazraoui is expected to return before the international break.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference, Amorim expressed confidence in his squad’s readiness:
“It’s a game against Arsenal, so we will struggle in some moments. But we have more players who can help change the momentum. That gives me confidence.”
On Sesko, who missed pre-season action, Amorim added:
“Physically, he’s ready. He’s very smart and puts in the extra work. He’s ready to play.”
