PRSU Fee Hike for Exam Re-evaluation Triggers Outrage at PRSU

PRSU

PRSU Anger is brewing at Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University (PRSU) after the administration announced an increase in fees for exam re-evaluation. Students described the move as “anti-student” and accused the authorities of prioritizing revenue over academic justice.

Several university students gathered outside the examination controller’s office to register their protest. “Re-evaluation is not a luxury, it is a right,” one student leader said, pointing out that evaluation errors are common and a fee hike discourages students from seeking corrections.

The issue has also caught the attention of various student organizations, who have urged the state government and higher education department to intervene. They insist that education should remain accessible and fair, without additional financial hurdles.

Meanwhile, university officials have defended the decision, citing rising administrative costs. However, negotiations with student groups are likely as protests show no signs of slowing down.
