The Supreme Court has taken a firm stance on the stray dog issue, ordering the immediate removal of stray dogs from schools, hospitals, and other public institutions across India.
The directive aims to protect students, patients, and the general public from rising incidents of dog bites and ensure cleaner, safer public spaces.
The court, however, made it clear that the process must be humane and coordinated with animal welfare organizations, emphasizing vaccination, sterilization, and shelter placement for the dogs.
