UPPSC CES Mains 2025 Exam Schedule Released: What Aspirants Must Know

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has officially unveiled the Combined State Engineering Services (CES) Mains Examination 2025 schedule. The exam will be conducted on September 28 and 29, 2025, across several centers throughout Uttar Pradesh

Exam Structure & Timings

Each day of the examination will be divided into two shifts:

  • First Shift: 9:30 AM – 12:00 PM
  • Second Shift: 2:30 PM – 5:00 PM

Paper breakdown is as follows:

  • September 28: Civil Engineering candidates will appear.
    • First Shift: General Hindi & Civil Engineering Paper-I
    • Second Shift: General Studies & Civil Engineering Paper-II
  • September 29: Candidates in Mechanical, Electrical, and Agricultural Engineering streams.
    • First Shift: General Hindi & Primary Engineering Paper (ME, EE, or AE)
    • Second Shift: General Studies & Secondary Engineering Paper (ME, EE, or AE)

This rigorous two-day test will select candidates for 609 engineering posts, spanning both general and special recruitment categories . Notably, 7,358 candidates have qualified from the Preliminary stage to appear in Mains .

Admit Card & Guidelines

The detailed timetable and official notification are available on UPPSC’s website: uppsc.up.nic.in. Candidates should meticulously review the schedule and prepare accordingly.

Admit cards will be issued soon. Once available, aspirants can download them from the “Admit Card / Hall Ticket” section on the UPPSC portal, using their registration number and date of birth . Essential exam-day instructions to follow:

  • Carry a printed copy of the admit card and a valid photo ID (e.g., Aadhaar, PAN, Voter ID, Passport) .
  • Arrive at least one hour before the reporting time; latecomers will not be entertained
  • Mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, notes, or any electronic devices are strictly prohibited
  • Only a blue/black pen is permissible; rough sheets will be provided if needed. Seating will be assigned by roll number, and no early exits are allowed
